Наиболее часто приводимый индекс акций австралийских компаний; рассчитывается как взвешенное по рыночным стоимостям среднеарифметическое курсов обыкновенных акций 245 компаний, котирующихся на Австралийской фондовой бирже (Australian Stock Exchange). Индекс включает в себя два других индекса, которые иногда указываются независимо от него: индекс всех акций горнодобывающих компаний (равен примерно 17,6 % от индекса всех обыкновенных акций) и индекс всех акций компаний, связанных с природными ресурсами (34,1 %).
